Black Desk Lamp gives you a warm, close pool of light for reading, winding down or working late. It is sized to sit comfortably on a nightstand, shelf or desk without crowding the surface. This listing covers finishes in black.
The base is weighted so it stays put, and the switch falls easily to hand in the dark. Light output is tuned for comfort rather than raw brightness, which makes it a better companion late at night than an overhead fitting. It pairs well with a warm bulb and looks just as good switched off during the day. Think of it as layered lighting rather than a single bright source — used alongside a lamp or downlights it gives you control over how a space feels at different times of day.
Keep cords, small parts and packaging away from infants and young children, and never leave a child unsupervised around an electrical fitting or its cable. Isolate the power before installation and have hardwired work carried out or checked by a qualified electrician. Every Oakmere lamp is checked before it leaves us, and our team is here if you want help choosing the right bulb. If you are unsure which variant suits your space, our team can talk it through with you.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on every Oakmere order, within New Zealand and to the forty plus countries we deliver to. There is no minimum spend. Import duties or taxes on international orders are set by the destination country and are the recipient's responsibility.
When will my order arrive?
You'll get an order confirmation straight away, and tracking by email as soon as your parcel leaves us. Delivery time depends on where you are. If you need something by a particular date, message us through our contact page before you order and we'll tell you what's realistic.
Can I return it if it is not right for the room?
Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return most items for a refund or an exchange, as long as they're unused, in their original packaging and with any tags still attached. Return postage is yours unless the item arrived damaged, faulty, or wasn't what you ordered. We can't accept returns on pieces that have been installed, wired in, assembled or modified, on made to order items, or on gift cards.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
Send us a photo through our contact page as soon as it arrives and we'll arrange a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you.
Where do I find materials, dimensions and care details?
Everything specific to this piece, including materials, dimensions, finish and any care notes, is in the product details on this page. As a general rule, dust with a soft dry cloth, avoid harsh cleaners, and keep pieces out of long spells of direct sunlight. If something isn't listed, ask us and we'll confirm before you buy.
Can you help me choose?
Happily. Send a photo of the space and the measurements you're working with through our contact page, and we'll tell you what will fit and what we'd pair it with.

Great looking lamp. looks just like it did in the picture. does not look cheap and the materials it is made with are nice and sturdy, not cheap, thin plastic. very happy with this lamp. delivery was very fast too. it was especially nice that they kept sending tracking updates on the package. i will definitely order from here again

Great lamp for the price, the quality is excellent, I highly recommend it!!!
E
Great packaging and a great product. It looks amazing both lit and unlit. My only minor complaint is that the cap was a little greasy and smelled like turpentine or something similar. Other than that, the product met my expectations all thanks to the seller

Ver nice. bought as a gift for a friend, who absolutely loved it. i thought it was going to be made of plastic but it isn’t! shade is glass and base is metal so it has some weight to it. brilliant find!

G
Very good fast delivery nice cat lamp thank you very much

Beautiful both lit and unlit, after that you need to order a large screw bulb but in LED version otherwise it heats up too much and smells like plastic.
T
Charmimg, and inexpensive compared to e.g. Amaz0n which i have ordered a lot of "tiffany" lamps through (but never seen one like this). I was a little apprehensive ordering from ali express for the first time but i shouldn’t have been, very satisfied with the quality, charming design and fast delivery to france. I can recommend this seller.
Quiet luxury
Rooms that feel considered rather than decorated. Every piece is chosen to sit quietly in a space and let the whole room settle.
Calm at home
Soft light, warm materials and nothing competing for attention. The kind of room you breathe out in at the end of a long day.
A house into a home
Layer it slowly. A lamp here, a vase there, until the space stops feeling new and starts feeling like yours.
