Non-Slip Kitchen Mat handles the wet, messy spots in a home — in front of the shower, the sink or the door — and keeps floors drier and safer. It soaks up water quickly and dries out fast between uses. Several variants are available so you can match it to the space you have in mind.
The upper layer draws water in quickly while the backing grips the floor, which is the combination that actually stops slips. It stays flat rather than curling at the corners, and it goes through a cold machine wash when it needs a refresh. Several sizes cover the usual awkward spots in a bathroom, kitchen or entry. Size it generously. Most rooms look better with a slightly larger piece than people expect, because furniture can then sit partly on it.
Wet floors can be slippery. Make sure the backing is clean, dry and flat against the floor before use, and take care on tiled surfaces. Every Oakmere mat is checked before it ships, and our team is happy to advise on sizing. If you are furnishing a whole room, ordering together keeps the finish consistent across pieces. It also makes a straightforward gift for a housewarming or birthday when you want something useful rather than novelty.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on every Oakmere order, within New Zealand and to the forty plus countries we deliver to. There is no minimum spend. Import duties or taxes on international orders are set by the destination country and are the recipient's responsibility.
When will my order arrive?
You'll get an order confirmation straight away, and tracking by email as soon as your parcel leaves us. Delivery time depends on where you are. If you need something by a particular date, message us through our contact page before you order and we'll tell you what's realistic.
Can I return it if it is not right for the room?
Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return most items for a refund or an exchange, as long as they're unused, in their original packaging and with any tags still attached. Return postage is yours unless the item arrived damaged, faulty, or wasn't what you ordered. We can't accept returns on pieces that have been installed, wired in, assembled or modified, on made to order items, or on gift cards.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
Send us a photo through our contact page as soon as it arrives and we'll arrange a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you.
Where do I find materials, dimensions and care details?
Everything specific to this piece, including materials, dimensions, finish and any care notes, is in the product details on this page. As a general rule, dust with a soft dry cloth, avoid harsh cleaners, and keep pieces out of long spells of direct sunlight. If something isn't listed, ask us and we'll confirm before you buy.
Can you help me choose?
Happily. Send a photo of the space and the measurements you're working with through our contact page, and we'll tell you what will fit and what we'd pair it with.

It's soft and nice, but the cushion seems to deflate quickly!
It's dark gray, but when you wash dishes and water splashes on it, the marks become a bit noticeable!
It's just cheap, so it's worth using!
S
It fits perfectly on the kitchen floor and was purchased at a low price.
H
Cheap purchase, fast delivery, it's fluffy and I'll use it well.
F
It's good for the price, soft and feels nice to the touch.

It's softer and nicer than I expected.

I like how cushiony it is. I can do the dishes with no shoes on and it's very comfortable, the only thing i regret is not getting a bigger one. I got the 40x60cm.
K
I bought it for the kitchen, but I'm reluctant to use it because it's very beautiful and fits comfortably in the bedroom.

Quiet luxury
Rooms that feel considered rather than decorated. Every piece is chosen to sit quietly in a space and let the whole room settle.
Calm at home
Soft light, warm materials and nothing competing for attention. The kind of room you breathe out in at the end of a long day.
A house into a home
Layer it slowly. A lamp here, a vase there, until the space stops feeling new and starts feeling like yours.
